As a result of the parliamentary vote, April 16th was fixed as Armenian cinema day in the Law on Holidays and Memorial days of the Republic of Armenia.

 

On behalf of Armenian Union of Film Professionals, we express our deepest gratitude to deputy of the National Assembly of the republic of Armenia, Naira Zohrabyan, for accepting and supporting the proposal of Armenian Union of Film Professionals, to declare April 16th as Armenian cinema day.

 

We express our gratitute to the Standing Committee of the Knowledge, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sports of the National Assembly of RA, all the deputies, the representatives of the parties, and in general, the National Assembly, for the discussions, cooperations, for voting.

 

We are grateful to Armenian film professionals and everyone who thinks abou Armenian cinema, for supporting the initiative.

 

This is the beginning. In the near future there are the acceptance of the law on Cinematography and more initiatives, which have an essential importance in the Cinema policy.
