Few months ago, by the initiative of the president of Armenian Union of Film Professionals Harutyun Khachatryan, the Union of Film Professionals of Gyumri founded, which will have an important role in Shirak province and the region.

 

This policy includes the spreading of the cinema culture over all the regions, creating a cinema atmosphere all over Armenia, giving an opportunity of a cooperation between young filmmakers and cinema masters, organizing master-classes, supporting film festivals movement, etc.

 

And here we are, in Vanadzor, at the opening of the Union of Film Professionals of Vanadzor.

 

The founding meeting, in which the creative youth of Vanadzor, theater, cinema and film education representatives participated, took place in a very warm atmosphere.

 

At the meeting participated:

film director, lecturer, the representative of COAF Vanadzor Hakob Azizyan,

director Narek Gevorgyan,

director, cameraman Pargev Darbinyan,

theater director, theater history lecturer Ani Gevorgyan,

actress, stage speech and actor's skill specialist Alla Avetisyan,

film directing and cinema history specialist Armen Charchyan,

director Janik Avetisyan,

director, film directing specialist Taron Harutyunyan and others.

 

While film director Mher Mkrtchyan talked about cinema with the students, discussed many different questions about new cinema trends and issues, the participants of the founding meeting discussed the upcoming projects of the Vanadzor Union, elected Taron Harutyunyan as their president, Hakob Azizyan and Ani Gevorgyan as vice-presidents.
